Forum
Youth Policy in Georgia
Funded by the Tbilisi City Municipality
Youth Forum was organized for the organisations
registered in Georgia and working on youth issues in order to discuss
actual topics, present different possibilities of funding, establish
partnership and creation of Youth Organisations manual.
The
main topic of the Youth forum was Youth Policy development in Georgia.
Youth
forum gathered 100 representatives of 55 youth organisations and
governmental structures.
Youth
Forum was organized by cooperation of following organisations:
Youth Department of Tbilisi Municipality, Academy
for Peace and Development, Charity
Humanitarian Center "Abkhazeti", National
Council of Youth Organizations of Georgia, Youth
Association "Droni" and Association
"Atinati".

Support
for IDPs victims of Georgian-Russian war in August 2008
With
response of urgent appeal for donation which APD launched in August,
2008 during the Georgian-Russian war Lithuanian Volunteer Center
(Vilnius, Lithuania) collected humanitarian goods and sent to APD
in order to support IDPs in Georgia.
Humanitarian
goods were consisting of five tons of food, hygienic items, baby
food, medicines and other NFIs.
APD
provided humanitarian AID to about 2000 IDPs
Humanitarian
Support to children aged between 0-2 years and pregnant women in
city of Rustavi, Georgia
APD
with the financial AID of 1000 EUR from Minorities
of Europe (Coventry, UK) provided humanitarian support to 95
children and 17 pregnant women with food and hygienic items.
Humanitarian
action in cooperation with Polish Humanitarian Organisation (PHO)
APD
in cooperation with Polish Humanitarian
Organisation (PHO) assisted about 2000 IDPs in Kutaisi, Chiatura
and Tbilisi.
Humanitarian
AID was consisting of food, hygienic items, baby food and medicines.
Total amount spent for humanitarian help is 25 000 USD.
In
Tbilisi kindergarten #88 APD in cooperation with PHO assisted 110
IDPs to epair windows, which had been without glasses, provided
baby beds, mattresses, blankets and hygienic items.
In
Chiatura where 1100 IDPs have been located temporary, APD together
with PHO provided food, hygienic items, baby food and medicines
for about one month. Humanitarian AID consisted of five tons of
humanitarian goods. |
