training course in Conflict resolution for 26 young peoples from
Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

In Pursuit of Peace in the South Caucasus Georgian and Abkhaz Young
Leaders for Peace and Development
Funded by the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID/Caucasus)
APD in partnership with AED/Georgia established and developed 15
youth clubs in 15 locations (10 locations situated in Abkhazia region),
were conducted English, Computer, Small Business, NGO Development,
Conflict Transformation trainings for up to 510 young people through
July 2002 - February 2004.

Project
“Georgian-Abkhaz Summer Peace Camp 2003”
Funded by the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID/Caucasus) APD in partnership with
AED/Georgia conducted Summer Peace Camp for 108 Georgian and Abkhaz
youth in July 2003, Trabzon, Turkey. During the summer camp were
conducted workshops on conflict management, human rights education
and different types of fun activities.
Project
“We create Enamel”
Funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation
APD in partnership with Association “Mkurnali” Conducts
the training sessions in small business development and Enamel art
workshops for 30 vulnerable youth in Tbilisi, Georgia. The project
present to the youth the opportunity to get specialty in enamel
art and to gain knowledge in small business development.

“Future Without Conflicts”
Funded by the Council of Europe, Confidence-building Measures (CBM)
programme
APD in partnership with Fund “Abkhazetis
Momavali” (FAM) conducted Training of Trainers session in
Conflict Transformation for 20 Georgian and Abkhaz young people
in November 2003, Likani, Georgia.
Through December 2003 - April 2004. were conducted training sessions
for 1510 Georgian and Abkhaz youth in 15 regions of Georgia.
The final evaluation meeting of the project were conducted in July
2004, Tskneti, Georgia.
As the one of the results of the project were published Manual on
Conflict Transformation.
Project
“Ticket to the World”
Funded by the Council of Europe,
Directorate of Youth and Sport
APD in partnership with Association “Vejini” conducted
training course in Human Rights Education and Trafficking for 22
young peoples in February 2004, Bakuriani, Georgia. Participants
of training program were young people with less opportunities and
representatives of different minority groups living in different
regions of Georgia.
Project
“Youth for Reducing the Spread of HIV/AIDS”
Funded by the Academy for Educational Development (AED/Washington)
APD conducted seminars and art competition in 6 regions of Georgia
for 250 youth on the HIV/AIDS prevention. The best paintings were
awarded by the prizes. As the one of the result of the project were
published posters about HIV/AIDS prevention.
Project
“Educational Peace Building Alliance in Caucasus - ED-PAC”
Funded by the Episcopal Reconciliation Church, St. Augustine, Florida,
USA
APD in partnership with AED/Georgia, Abkhazian Young Leaders Association
(AYLA) managed the Scholarship Program, which provided financial
support to outstanding graduates from the YLPD Program, whose were
accepted to the universities, either in the Caucasus Region or neighboring
countries
Project “Assistance to Orphan Children”
Funded by the Salvation Army
APD in partnership with Association “Mkurnali” distributes
the Christmas Presents for 1 500 vulnerable youth in 6 regions of
Georgia.
Project continues in every year.
Project “Help Us Helping Others”
Funded by the Netherlands Embassy
APD in partnership with Association “Mkurnali” Conducted
the seminars in small business development and taxation system for
30 vulnerable youth in March 2004, Tbilisi, Georgia.
Project
“LOVE FUND”
Funded by the Private Donors, US Citizens
APD in partnership with AYLA raised funds for youth self initiative
projects. Youth from 15 youth clubs throughout Georgia applied to
the Love Fund to implement various types of self initiated projects
in their communities.
